The main aim of these courses is to develop pool of technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment to the Indian Power Sector. The courses shall enhance the knowledge and skills of the engineers sponsored by various Power Utilities and fresh graduate/diploma engineers.
ABOUT THE COURSES:
These are modular courses of duration 52 weeks PDC (TPPE) Formal coaching will be held at Regional Institute of NPTI located at Badarpur (New Delhi), On job training for PDC is conducted at nearby Power
Stations and the training on state of the art simulator, at NPTI, Faridabad / Badarpur /Nagpur or some other place . The courses cover the syllabus as per Indian Electricity Rules.
ELIGIBILITY:-
1. FOR PDC (TPPE) Minimum 5 0 % in 10th & 50% in Diploma inMechanical/Electrical / E l e c t r o n i c s / C o n t r o l a n d I n s t r u m e n t a t i o n Engineering (Regular Basis) or equivalent Graduate engineers are not eligible
SELECTION CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION :
Merit-% in qualifying examination.
AGE LIMIT :- For non-sponsored candidates the age limit as on 26.07.2013 for PDC is 25 years . No age limit for the sponsored candidates.Sponsored candidates are to send their applications through their organization.
TOTAL SEATS: 120 in PDC (TPPE).
Reservation for OBC /SC/ST/ physically challenged as per Govt. of India Norms. 25% seats are reserved for candidates sponsored from Power utilities. If sufficient sponsored candidates are not available,
the seats will be filled by non-sponsored candidates.
* The number of seats may be changed at the discretion of the NPTI management. In case of excessively large applications another PDC batch may be started.
PLACEMENT:
Many reputed companies visit NPTI for campus placement and placement fee is charged additionally. However 100% placement is not guaranteed.
HOW TO APPLY:- Applications on plain paper along with the Demand Draft of Rs. 800/- in favour
of NPTI, Badarpur payable at New Delhi with Candidate’s name written on its back, with name
of the course being applied super scribed on top of envelope containing application, should reach on

of last 12 salary slips and copy of bank statement showing credit of last 12 salaries in his bank account duly attested by Bank Manager).17. Signature (attach attested copies of proof for S.No. 5, 9, 13 & 14 ). OBC candidates have to submit non creamy layer certificate issued on or after 01.04.13. Application

COURSE FEE :may be paid in three installments by nonsponsored candidates of PDC course .*Service tax/ Cess extra @ 12.36% shall be charged separately on all charges including placement charges. There is no fee concession for any category of candidates. The cost of transportation to local industries/utilities will be Rs.6000/-.
Outstation transportation/ boarding / lodging charges will be borne by the participants separately.
A refundable caution money Rs.4,000/- (subject to full fee payment) is to be deposited at the
time of joining.
